Patrick has been at The NSMC for four years, combining his health service delivery experience with his marketing knowledge to develop resources and events for social marketing practitioners. He developed the UK’s first online social marketing planning guide, The NSMC’s procurement guide and managed the first World Social Marketing Conference along with numerous other national conferences and events.
Prior to The NSMC, Patrick worked in the voluntary sector for ten years initially in fundraising with Barnardos and VSO and then at Asthma UK leading their Children and Young People’s programmes. This included working with relevant government and local authority departments on the promotion and implementation of the CNSF Asthma Exemplar and Asthma UK's participation strategy.
Patrick completed his CIM Diploma in Marketing in 2001 and is currently working toward a qualification in child psychology.
